Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
I've been working for this apartment complex for 5 years that just recently got bought out by another company about 1-2 months ago. Before, I was getting paid for holidays that we didn't have to work, but now that the new company has taken over, they say we have to be with them for 90 days before we get paid holidays. Is this legal? And also, if we do work on a federal holiday, for example Martin Luther King Day, should we be payed time and a half or does this 90 day period affect that too?
