Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana
I am working for a company and I have roughly $12,000 dollars in unpaid personal expense. I have been questioning them paying my expense and recently they are saying that they are not paying anyone's expense because they have a 3 party audit group that is going to take 2-4 weeks to verify and make sure they are legitimate receipts. If I am fired or if I quit, by law how long do they have to pay me in full.

Louisiana law provides that if you quit or are terminated, your employer must pay you on or before the next regular payday, or within 15 days, whichever is sooner. So, if you quit on a Monday and the next regular payday for your employer is Friday, you would have to be paid by then. If not, the employer could be subject to penalties and attorney's fees if suit has to be brought to collect your wages.
