Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Louisiana

I live in a two bedroom house with my boyfriend,me and another couple.

We all signed a year lease in august.

It's not working out, I've talked to the landlord and they understand and relieve me and my boyfriend of the lease, still waiting for a letter but have text messages that prove it.

My roommates are not taking it well.

I have agreed to pay our share of rent and bills due to make all bills current.

They are telling me that they are taking me to small claims court for the remaining 8 months of rent.

That the landlord can relieve me but they are not relieving me of the lease so therefore I still own them money.

I would love some clarification on this.

thanks

kristi

Your lease is with the landlord, not your roommates. You have no contract with them, so they have no grounds to sue you. If the landlord lets you out of the lease, via con dios.
