Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Louisiana

Renting a house

I have a vacant house, and a contractor has approached me about renting the house. He says he will pay me and fix the house up including fixing the roof. I want to make sure if anyone gets hurt on the property I am not liable. My insurance is current on the house. The offer sounds to good to be true.

Most offers that sound too good to be true are. However, as far as insurance goes, if you have insurance, you should be covered. Call and speak to your agent about it. However, before you get there, I would take a long look at this deal and find out what is in it for this contractor.
