Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Louisiana

i signed a lease on rent house July 1, 2010, since then the house was sold and the new owners have given me a new lease with different terms and rules. Does the original lease i signed hold up or does the new owner have a right to change my lease?

Unless your first lease was recorded in the public records, the new owners are not bound by it and they may refuse to honor it. If you recorded your lease, the new owners must honor it.
