Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Louisiana
Trash
I live in a apartmet complex. The complex offers curbside trash pick-up. Each building has a certain day the trash can be put out. Residents received a notice from complex that if the grounds keeper finds trash out on the wrong day, they will go through garbage looking for personal info to identify person breaking rules. Is this legal? Feels like Invasion of Property.

Actually, your landlord's threat is perfectly legal. You have no expectation of privacy in trash that you have thrown out.
