Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Louisiana

Bridal Pictures

Recently my daughter was married. The photographer we hired for the wedding took pictures of her at a plantation home which I paid extra for. She also took pictures of the wedding. I have recently learned that she , the photographer ,has a picture of her hanging in the plantation home and has sold pictures to the hair dresser that did her hair and make-up. Is it legal for her to do this without our premission?

We were never asked if this would be o.k.

I will be waiting to hear from you.

Thank YOu

Re: Bridal Pictures

It is not legally OK for anyone to use your daughter's image for profit/commercial purposes without her permission and a signed release of the photographs for such purposes under the circumstances you describe.

She may be entitled to money for the improper use of her photographic likeness.

Consult a lawyer in your area for further details. Initial consultations and case evaulations are usually done atno charge - ask first.
