What is statute of limitations to bring suit for an involuntary committment? Does the lawyer have to be registered with the state bar of the state this took place?

There is no statute of limitations to bring a suit for an involuntary commitment. Either the person needs commitment or not. If you mean it was filed and then nothing was done that is something different. Since you labeled your question a medical malpractice law question, I assume it has not been filed yet.
