Legal Question in Military Law in Louisiana
My husband gave me general power of attorneywhen he went to Iraq, then decided he didnt want to be with me and change the bank account? Can I get money out of that account since we are still married and I have power attorney?

If you only take what is yours (1/2), you should be okay. It would be hard for him to cry foul if all you took was what belongs to you by law.
You should also talk to a divorce attorney immediately. Absolutely immediately, as in today if possible. You need to protect your assets and put your affairs in order for filing. The unfortunate truth is that usually when your spouse comes to you and says they are leaving you, they have been planning it for some time and the assets can disappear fast.
