Legal Question in Military Law in Louisiana
I am in the stare of Louisiana on a military base. My husbands ex-wife has personal property at our house. The divorce has been final for over a month but they have been seperated since April of 09. She is out of the state and I am trying to work with her on getting her belongings. How long must I keep them before I can dispose of them? What are the legal procedures of trying to notify her about her belongings? I want to protect myself and my husband.
Thanks,
Jaime

I would not ever throw them out. I would put them in storage. You may be able to charge her storage fees for keeping them there.
