I am being treated by a Dermatologist, I had to get 20 or more shots in my head with steroid medicine, also two shots in my buttocks. I am scheduled for a follow up visit in a week. She knew what happened but told me because I transitioned my hair from natural to perm again it was a shock to my hair! In actuality she burn my hair completly out! I am bald and the little I have left is dead and coming out by the fist full! This happened just past Thursday 2 days ago today 2009. Someone please respond A.S.A.P

Re: chemical burn

Reading just your text, it appears you have a claim. Hopefully the hair stylist has insurance. Also, you need to gather as much information about the product she used because there may be a cause of action against the product manufacturer. Keep your doctors records and bills. Hopefully you can use your own insurance so it does not come out of your pocket. An attorney in the New Orleans area should be more than happy to consult with you at no charge. I am 200 miles away, but if you need a reference in New Orleans, I can give you one.

Re: chemical burn

Based on these facts, it appears you have a strong case against the beautician and possibly a products liability case against the manufacturer. Agree with the other answers posted. We handle these types of cases and are in New Orleans. We would be happy to consult with you at no charge on this matter.

Re: chemical burn

It certainly sounds as if you have a valid claim for personal injury. You should contact a personal injury attorney in your area.

In the meantime, follow your doctor's instructions, keep all of your receipts for any out of pocket expenses (including medical expenses, prescriptions, etc.), and save any evidence you have (such as proof of your visit). Also, you should take photos of your injuries now and as it heals. You may also want to start a journal or diary to document facts as well as your mental well-being and psychological progress.
