Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

A couple of weeks ago my daughter was hit while riding her bike. The driver was traveling to close to my daughter. The police office never ask me or my daughter what happen he only took the lady words as to what happen. My question is do I have any rights on the behalf of my daughter to explain what happen especially when I witness the accident while standing in the yard while my daughter road her bike between my neighbors home?

The cop is a secretary who records what others tell him after he gets to an accident scene. What he decides makes no difference. If you are going to sue the woman, then you will get your chance to tell your side. If you want your daughter to be fault free, that is where you do it. With that said, the cop should have taken statements from all witnesses.
