Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

Hello, I was involved in a car accident I did not treat as I should. Due to that, the lawyer settled the case which I was fine with. Just days before I was to go in to sign the paperwork my problem came back. it feels like a pinched nerve it is affecting the right side of my body. Since I have not signed papers yet is there anything that can be done regarding medical bills?

If you have not settled the case by signing the settlement agreement. However if there has been a significant lapse in treatment, it will be hard to prove the returned complaint was not due to a new injury.
