how longdo you have to sue

i bought a puppy ,the puppy got sick and died within a few days.As soon as it started having diarrhea i brought to the vet.the breeder at first stated she would replace the puppy then ignored calls and emails.now states it was my fault.if its been longer than 1 year can i still sue her.i waited this long because she said she would replace the puppy.

You had 1 year to sue. However, if the breeder 'guaranteed' the puppy, AND YOU CAN PROVE THAT SHE KEPT PROMISING TO REPLACE IT, then you can argue that you were 'deceived' into letting the year run. It might not work but do not let any more time run.
