Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana
I was riding in a vehicle that went off the road and flipped twice. I was unconcious fora few minutes and had lots of bruises and a limp for a few weeks. My question is since I didn't go to a hospital what kind of personal injury settlement can I expect with out hiring a lawyer?

Not as good as if you hired a lawyer. Unrepresented parties are easy pickings for insurance adjusters. You don't know your rights or their responsibilities, nor do you know what your case is even worth. I've read that people that don't hire lawyers for accidents get less than 1/4 of what represented parties get on average. That sounds about rigtht from my experience. Most unrepresented parties end up screwing their case up so bad they get less than $1,000, from what I have seen. Still, it is your unconditional right to represent yourself. Good luck with it.
