Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

i stopped to make a left turn into a parking lot off of a highway with a shoulder, i was rear ended should i have l legally got on right shoulder before attempting to turn left into the parking lot?

-t depends on whether you had a right to stop on that particular highway or part of the highway. For instance you can't stop on an interstate highway. You may be able to stop on a state highway.
