Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana
I tapped another car in front of me at a stop light. There was no damage to the car. The woman refused to get out of the car, stating that she had a baby inside (along with her mother). Everyone in their car was fine (the baby was still sleeping). She stated that she was calling her husband. I suggested that we pull over to the side of the road in order to not stop traffic flow and in order to exchange info. (even though there was NO damage and everyone was fine). She refused to follow me. I waited on the side of the road for 20 - 30 min. Finally, I gave up and left b/c of an appointment. Again, no damage and no injuries. Should I be worried? Will she try to make a claim against me?

Yes, you should be worried. Even though you beleive there was no damage or injury (and you may be right), you left the scene of an accident, which is a crime. If there is an injury involved, that charge could be a felony charge.
You can't just leave the scene of an accident because you think there is no damage and you have an appointment. You have to wait for the police.
You should worry only because you have no witnesses other than yourself. Had you called the police, your 20 minute wait would not have been worth it. I strongly disagree with Mr. Lambert that you could be charged with a felony, or even leaving scene of an accident. Today there must be more than very minor damage for someone to stay put after an accident. You did screw up by not calling the police. Mr. Lambert may be talking about New Orleans where it seems the populace lives off others and cant fend for themselves.
