Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana
New addition to a road
There is a two lane road near my home that is being upgraded to a four lane road. My question is how much right do I have, the new road will cause my home to be facing in the opposite direction than it's facing now, the road is currently running south, when the new road get's put in it will be running southeast, behind my home. Is there any kind of settlement that I could get?

Re: New addition to a road
If some of your property was taken, then you should be compensated fairly for that property. If you had access to the old road, then you are owed access to the new road.
