Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

on april 9 2011 , my fiance committed suicide right in front of me . we were living with my mother because i was the only oner that worked . he was tryingf to get on disablity , but hadnt . we have been together for 3 1/2 years and he didnt work for 2 1/2 years. i have paid the bills and bought what we do have . what are my legal right to our stuff . his dad is suing me for all of his belongings , i am a single mother with 2 kids , that arent his , but i need to know what i can do .

Anything he owned was his separate property. Anything you purchased which was not a gift to him, is your separate property.
