The property remains in there name. How do I change it back? Is there a bogus sale form I can file with the Assessors office to change this back to my name?

It is unclear from your original message why you did not get the $12,000 paid to you for the land--did the check "bounce"? or was payment stopped? When you say that you "sold" your property, was an "Act of Sale" signed before a Notary or Closing Attorney? I do not believe a "Bogus Sale Form" as you suggest exists--your problem probably cannot be solved that simply. First, what do you want more--the $12,000.00 or the property? You obviously cannot have them both. If the $12,000 check "bounced" or they "stopped payment", you may be able to sue them for TWICE the amount of the check--it all depends on the age of the check and the facts and circumstance of this "sale" in which you participated. You probably will not be able to get the property back in your name without a judgment from a court--that will almost certainly require a lawsuit against the "buyers" and/or the closing notary/title company. Have you tried to negotiate with the "buyers"? Who wrote the $12,000 check--the "buyers" or was it an "escrow" check from the closing notary or title company who closed your Act of Sale?

I would need answers to these questions and probably need to ask more questions before I could even begin to suggest your best course of action or to tell you your rights and options....

Good Luck
