Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana
My bother and I own a home. The city ordered the house be repaired and brought up to code. I paid to have have the property repaired. Now my brother wants have of the rent. That's ok with me, only after I ma reimbursed for the repairs. He wants to splint the rent money now, without paying me first. What should I do.

You paid to bring it up to code so it would produce rent. I do not know how much money is involved, but he owes you half of what you paid, so to keep things from getting ugly, maybe give him half of his half and take the rest toward his share of the repair costs.
