Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana
We bought property a couple of years ago that had a legal easement on it for the man next door. everything was fine and now he is mad because we will not fix it for him or put gravel on it. his family and friends are the only ones that use it. i have fenced it off from the rest of my property so i could fence my animals in. now he is making the holes in the driveway bigger and now they are making a new driveway - going around the holes and tearing up my grass. what can i do?

The easement document should describe who maintains the easement area. If there are no such requirements, then he must maintain it. He cannot tear up your property. You should look up the law on servitudes of passage and take it to him or if the document says he maintains, then take that to him. You will probably have to take him to court.
