Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

If a car is in my name but my ex is the only one who has paid the note, am I entitled to take my car back?

I say sure, as long as you pay her back what she paid on the note. Of course that could be more or less depending upon whether the car is considered community or separate property.
