Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana
I am divorced and decided to keep the house that has my name and ex-wife's name on it. She filed bankruptsy, I am planning to sell the house soon, am I obligated to give her half?

You need to settle your community property if that was not done at the time of the divorce. Obtaining the divorce ends the community, but it does not divide the community assets and liabilities. If you have not finalized the community, you need to do so now. If you did finalize the community, the home would have been awarded to someone in the community property Judgment (or settlement).
