Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

Farm land encroachment

My farm adjorns a neighboring farm where over the years the bounderies have become less clear. The neighboring farmer is gradually encroaching onto my property. Will the neighboring farm have any rights over the original boundery line as time passes on?

Re: Farm land encroachment

Yes, the encroaching farm could, by use over time become owner of the encroached area. You should have a survey done to establish the correct boundaries and point out his encroachment so that the issue does not become a problem.
