Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

My Father and his Brother own together 480 acres of prime farmland. My Father wants to legally split it between them but his Brother refuses to split it. What can be done to legally split the farm in equal halves when his Brother refuses?

You just file to have the land partitioned. In Louisiana, no one can be forced to own property together.
