Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

My father passed and I went to change his 14 acres in (Desoto Parish, LA over into my name his daughter. I discovered that he signed his mineral rights over into my aunt's name (Bossier City, LA) in 2008. She was his caretaker in Louisiana. Do I have any rights as his only heir? My dad had alzheimers that is why she was taking care of him. So he sure couldn't have rightfully conducting any serious business like that. Not sure what the law is for Louisiana. I lived in Spring Texas. I was never notified about any of this nor about his death. Please advise...

You can void a sale or donation of mineral rights if the seller/donor was not mentally competent to understand what he was doing. However, you would have to prove that he was incompetent AT THE PRECISE MOMENT he signed the paperwork.
