Giving home ownership to adult child

I want to will my home that is paid for in the state of Louisiana to my adult child prior to his wedding in the fall. What procedure is required and must he be present at the time I meet with a legal advisor?

Willing it to him before the wedding won't make any difference if you plan to live past the wedding. Under LA successions law the house would be all his and not part of the community of assets anyway because it was left to him and not earned. But if he isn't getting married and living in LA, then you will need to find out about the law where he does live.
