Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

I have a home & property in the state of Louisiana valued at 100-150K which I would like to donate to my ex-wife, the property was aquired by me after the divorce to be used as a home for her (NOT COURT ORDERED or as a part of the divorce procedings) and I now want to deed the property over to her.

I called the local clerk of court & was told the act of donation was a simple thing but they did not know the IRS laws concerning act of donation to an ex-wife.

Can you help?
