Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

next of kin

My grand dad died with out will and all his children is dead.and he left his estate who is next of kin or in charge

his grand children or great grand children?We speaking of in charge .I know that we all are heirs but who is in charge

or again next of kin.

Any heir, interested party or creditor can file to be appointed administrator/administratrix of an intestate (no will) succession.......that puts that person "in charge" but only as the court directs........any other heir, interested party or creditor who files a request in the succession to be notified of any filings may contest anything done by the "person in charge." There is no "person in charge" unless the court names them to take charge. Speak to an attorney without delay if you think your rights may be affected.
