Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

I have leased some land that is land locked and the guy that owns the land in front of me said that I can not cross his land. Is there a law that says that I can have a right of way.

A landlocked property owner does have a natural right of passage across the property that will allow him the most direct route to the nearest road or highway. That is the super simple answer. There are variables, but basically you cannot be denied movement to your property.
