Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

I was living with this guy for 8 years. I have a piece of property and he built a shed on it. We both paid for it him more then me. My question is does he have any right to this? He has left me for another woman and is saying he is going to take me to court for me to pay him for increasing the equity in the property. Can he do this?

Sheds do not usually add to the value of the property. He would be entitled to a percentage of any improvements made that added value.
