The Judgment of Possession. It actually puts the heirs in possession of the property of the estate. The Affidavit of Death and Heirship is simply a document signed by a relative, friend, or neighbor wherein they attest to the status of the decedent (where he lived, how many kids he had, etc.). The Judgment is the document that actually conveys ownership of the property.
