In louisiana can you live on a piece of property long enough for it to become yours,even though you did not purchase it?

Yes. If you maintain uninterrupted possession of property for which you do not have any title for 30 years it becomes yours by what is called prescription, regardless of whether you are possessing in good faith or not. You must openly possess the property continuously for yourself and not as an agent of the actual owner.
