In Louisiana, if a sale of commercial real estate is executed by an agent through a power of attorney on the sellor's side, does the power of attorney have to filed with the conveyance office or clerk of court before the act of sale is executed?

It should be filed along with the Act of Sale documents. The closing attorney can do it for you.

You can put such a power of attorney on file with the clerk beforehand, but there really is no need to do so, as the closing attorney should do it for you.
