Mineral rights
I am trying to find out, if when selling property how long does the previous owner hold on to the mineral rights?

It is up to the parties.....you do not have to let the seller keep the minerals if you do not want to.....of course they may not sell the property.....as a general rule, those rights are kept for 10 years, unless minerals are found, and then they can conceivably keep them forever....
