Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

i moved into my house 7 years ago in Louisiana, with a rental agreement. my landlord at the time lived in texas. i typed up the agreement and sent it to him, sent him receipts for repairs, that we offered to do in leiu of the rent. once we stopped remolding of the home i tried sending him rent..everything i send him comes back. i heard he has died. what can i do to take ownership of said house?

You cannot take ownership of the house unless you have a purchase agreement. You can purchase the property from the estate if the estate representative agrees.
