Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

my nieghbor has built a fence. I have found the property stakes and he built his fence 2 feet onto my property what can i do about this, he agrees it is on my property.someone told me it i let him keep his fence there, he will automaticly own that 2 feet after so many years. is this true

Adverse possession occurs when the parties know there is encroachment and don't correct it within 30 years. You can file a written agreement/ acknowledgement that the fence encroaches but that both parties acknowledge the owner .
