Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana
My parents want to donate their home to me. They still owe $150,000 on their home but I have been paying the note for a while because they cannot. I know how to do an Act of Donation, however, my question is how do I get my name on the mortgage? Do I have to qualify for the mortgage loan?

The lienholder will have to agree to the conveyance or you will have to pay off the loan.
