Re: property easment

An easement or servitude, is generally a privilege which one piece of property owes to another piece of property. The privilege can be granted by a property owner or be owed by operation of law. I would need to know more about what the privilege is that is owed by that 40X10 foot piece of property. It could be the right of passage or of use, or some other purpose. The ownership of the property does not change when an easement/servitude is granted.
