Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

I am purchasing a new home with inherited funds from the sale of my family home. I want my husband to be on the title but in case of an unforseen divorce, I would like to be protected in that, this home was bought with seperate inherited funds. How do I go about that?

Tell the closing attorney about it. Your paperwork will be drafted to state that it is being purchased 100% with separate funds from an inheritance and your husband will have to sign a declaration agreeing to that at the closing.
