Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana
I have a question about a dispute between neighbors. I live in Louisiana. I have some property and my neighbor has some that is adjacent to mine. There is a gravel road between these two properties. This gravel road has been there since around the 1950's. The property that is adjacent to us used to be family property, it was sold to our current neighbor in the 90s. The road has never been a problem and has never been moved. The road is more on my neighbors property. He is in the talks of moving the road where we give 5 feet of our property and he does the same. Someone has told me about a grandfather clause and that the road may actually have been there long enough that it falls within the rules of this clause. Is there anything I can do about the neighbor wanting to move the road?

It should fall under easement law and adverse possession. It is over the 30 year adverse possession period and should now have to be agreed prior to moving.
