Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

I have a servitude road allowing access to the unsold property directly behind mine. We have no wish to prevent access to it to anyone. However, after a few instances of midnight visits, traveling through our yard. My wife began roping the driveway off at night. The developer had his lawyer issue us a letter threatening legal action. Do we have any right to block the road in this manner?

No. That is what a servitude is, a right to use the property.
