Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

I sold a bedroom set to a man for $700.00. He did not have the entire amount so we agreed on $250.00 cash the day he saw the set. On that day he took the headboard and mattress set. which was March 7,2010. On March 12th he came by with $250.00 cash then on Marh19th the balance of $200.00 with a promise to pick up set onMarch20,2010. He called said he could not get help. He scheduled for March 27, called again and said he could not get help. Called him on Friday April 2, said he would try to come on the weekend. Received no call. Called him April 9, said he had to move looking at aplace that day and I told him to call let me know how he made out. No phone call. Called him Sat.April 10, left message did not return my call. Called Sunday left word that my bedroom set would bedelivered soon and gave him a deadline of Friday March 16 to pick the set up or it would no longer be available for I was going to get rid of it for the room had to be empty for the new set delivery. How should this be handled legally so I am not in any legal problems.
