Transferring Property to sibilings

My mother has been sick for several months and cannot receive medicaid, because she supposedly makes too much money. I need to know the process or procedures for transferring her property out of her name into my sisters name whom has power ot attorney over her estate. Please tell me the procedure to follow for this action? Thanks!

Giving property away will not make her qualify for medicaid. It may also trigger estate tax liability. What you need to do is contact an elder law or medicaid planning attorney in the state where she is living to find out what medicaid planning options you may have.
