Our firm has been involved recently in two cases where a lender foreclosed in contravention of law or some other agreement. Assuming that this is what happened to you, you would have an action against the lender for wrongful seizure and could recover damages against the lender. If your forbearance agreement was not recorded in the public records and the purchaser did not know of the agreement, you will not be able to get the property returned. I would need to know more facts though in order to give you a comeplete answer as to your available remedies.
