Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Louisiana
Bitten by Boss!
My daughter got into an argument with her employer at a convenience store where she works. She got fed up and told hime to ''kiss my *ss''. He BIT her on her bottom! She left her job and immediately had pictures taken, and went to the DA's office. She filed a police report later in the evening. She told the police it was on the video tape at the store, assuming the owner didn't erase it. She has teeth marks and a black & blue area where he bit her. Are there other grounds she can sue on? She is not washing her jeans in case there is some saliva that needs to be tested.Anyway, I thought this was one for the books!! She is too distraught to go back to work, and I don't blame her. Can she sue for this? She has 2 children she is trying to support. Thanking you in advance for any advice!!

The biter is guilty of battery which is a crime as well as grounds for a potential civil suit. If the perpetrator has done outragious things before which were reported, then their may be other grounds. She should see an attorney.

She should contact a lawyer immediately. She can sue, however the strength of her case (as well as figuring out who she can sue) must be determined by a lawyer who is free to ask questions and investigate.
