Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Louisiana

I am a manager of a company my general manager has been sending inappropriate messages to the female employees and they have reported it to me since i am the assistant general manager. I took a statement from a harrased employee and reported it to corporate. They spoke witj the offending manager and have decided he take a leave of absence tobtake care of personal issues. I and the other employees feel like if he comes back we will not be comfortable working with him due to tje hostile environment created by all of his actions. Is it considered appropriate action for an employer to give a leave of absence for an offending manager to get his issues taken care of and then have him placed back into the same position?

An employer's obligation, when sexual harassment is reported, is to make sure the offending behavior stops. By placing this manager on leave of absence, I assume that the behavior will stop. Once the leave of absence is over, the employer can return him to the same position as long as the previous behavior is over and stops. This is a difficult and precarious position for the employer because if the manager engages in that behavior again, the employer will likely be liable for sexual harassment. But that said, they are within their rights to place him back in that position as long as the offending behavior stops.
