Can the city tax assessor's office place a home on sheriff sale if it is heir property and the heir's have not been notified of the taxes that was due on December 31,2010 for that property?

There should have been some notification but unless a succession was filed, the tax assessor is under no duty to seek out any other than the recorded owner. However, if the taxes are paid, the property can be redeemed.
