Legal Question in Tax Law in Louisiana

delinquent filing Louisiana state income taxes

I did not file nor pay taxes in Louisiana for 2002, 2003, and 2004. I think I probably owed a little bit, but I'm not sure. The state never contacted me. I am still in Louisiana, still working, still paying fed taxes and filed state taxes for the last two years. How do I make sure I'm Ok on this?

You go to the state tax authority fess up and see what they want you to do.

But first, you hire local counsel and an accountant to see what they THINK you owe, pay that and go from there.

There might also be a tax amnesty or payback programs, which they should know about.
